Oat and Quinoa Porridge with Fresh Fruit
Prep: 5 minutes
It's officially fall, and with cooler mornings upon us, what better way to start your day than with a warm bowl of oats and quinoa porridge with fresh fruit!
"Oats are high in fiber, which helps reduce cholesterol, lower blood sugar levels and improves your gut health," says Robyn Rohrig, R.D.-N. at Carilion Clinic. "It also helps you feel fuller, longer."
Quinoa is high in protein and minerals such as iron, magnesium, potassium and zinc. Though it is technically a seed, you can find quinoa in the rice and grains aisle of your grocery store.
